Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA)/Prince George’s County is hosting an Information Session on December 6th from 6:00 pm in the CASA Office. At this session you will learn about what it means to be a Court Appointed Special Advocate and how you can help. Time will be given for any questions.

Apply now for our CASA Pre-Service Training that begins Tuesday January 17th and runs Tuesdays and Thursdays until Thursday February 16th. Participants will learn best practices when advocating for a youth in foster care and will continue on their way to becoming a CASA volunteer and making a difference in our Community.
Volunteers are required to attend one day of Court Room Observation during the training session. This will be offered twice during the training from 8:45 am until 4:00 pm at the Prince George’s County Circuit Court. Volunteers will sign-up at training.
*Please note that all volunteers who are assigned to youth 14 and older are required to take the Fostering Futures Training. 80% of our volunteers will be assigned to teenagers. Fostering Futures will be held at the Prince George’s Child Resource Center on March 2 and 7.
In order to be invited to Fall Training, all applicants must successfully complete our phone and face to face interview. Please submit your Volunteer Application by December 19, 2016 to begin the screening process.
