Dana Berghahn is Maryland CASA’s latest nonprofit management intern. She is a senior at Towson University studying business administration with a concentration in international business and a minor in Italian. Along with working for CASA, Dana is a student ambassador for theSkimm which delivers a daily email newsletter with popular news to its subscribers. Dana worked closely with the marketing and public relations teams to create the launch plan for theSkimm’s new mobile platform. She also assisted with grassroots marketing campaigns to build awareness for theSkimm iPhone app and increase the number of downloads. Dana believes the skills she learned while working for theSkimm will help her with fundraising and public awareness events for CASA.
During her time with CASA, Dana is excited to work on budget reports, grant writing, and new corporate partnership programs. What drew Dana to CASA was its commitment to advocating for children who have experienced maltreatment and helping children under court protection grow up in safe, permanent homes. Dana has been involved with volunteer work and her passion for helping children made Maryland CASA an excellent fit!
Dana currently lives in Towson, Maryland but is originally from Old Bridge, New Jersey. When she is not working she enjoys catching up with her two older sisters or playing lacrosse on one of Towson University’s many turf fields.
