When you run for Team CASA, you are helping us raise funds and create awareness to ensure that a trained CASA advocate can be ready when a child (and a judge) needs them.

Not all of our past runners know that the registration fee you pay goes to the Baltimore Running Festival. It covers the coordination, logistics and staffing of the race. As an official charity team, we are able to offer a reduced registration fee but we rely on our team members to raise funds with your run.

Raising money can seem daunting and we are here to make it easier for you. Past runners have shared that it is all about being enthusiastic and ASKING people for contributions in a heartfelt way.

The first step is to write your personal appeal email. Your friends and family want you to succeed, so talk about your goal. Let them know how much you want to raise (and aim high). This motivates everyone and helps you reach your goal and let’s them share in your success.

When you register, you have the option to create a personal webpage to raise money. There are email templates where you can add photos and your personal appeal, before sending to friends and family. You have the option of downloading your address book to the page and follow directions to send and track emails and donations to your page. If you have any questions about this process, email Adenike.
