Meet Daniel Miller, Maryland CASA’s Spring 2018 PR/Communications Intern!

Daniel Miller, Stevenson University ’18

Daniel Miller is Maryland CASA’s Spring 2018 Public Relations & Communications intern. He is a Senior at Stevenson University, earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Communications with a concentration in Public relations. Prior to interning with Maryland CASA, Daniel has volunteered his time at several schools acting as a mentor for children who were experiencing troubles both in school as well as at home. He has also volunteered for Maryland State Delegate Antonio Hayes, helping with community outreach to educate and encourage the public to get involved in the upcoming election. Daniel has experience creating business memos, writing press releases, coordinating ad campaigns, and creating blogs, all skills that he believes will contribute to his internship experience at Maryland CASA.

What fascinated Daniel about Maryland CASA was their mission to provide voices for Maryland’s abused and neglected children. Daniel says, “Although we are not working directly with the children, I feel like what we do here is very important. I support what the organization is doing, and I look forward to working with the organization to expand their awareness and help recruit more child advocates.” He is eager to help manage Maryland CASA’s social media accounts while gaining experiences and knowledge on creating blog/social media posts and strengthening his portfolio and overall communication skills.

Daniel is from Morristown, New Jersey but lives in Owings Mills, Maryland on Stevenson University’s campus. He has an extensive family consisting of seven siblings all ranging from ages 4-months to 24 years-of-age. Daniel has played football almost all his life and enjoys competition and working with others in a team setting. His hobbies consist of cooking, working out, and having fun with family and friends. When Daniel graduates, he hopes to continue a career in Public relations because he enjoys interacting with people and believes it his calling card!
