Anne Arundel County CASA's "Tee Up for a Child" a Sold Out Success

(AACCASA) hosted its 16th annual golf tournament on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at the Eisenhower Golf Course. The event raised a total of $42,052 to help the organization recruit and train adults to serve as CASA Volunteers – community members who provide voices for abused and neglected children in the courtroom.“We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all who were instrumental in ensuring that Tee Up for a Child was a huge success,” commented Rebecca Tingle, Executive Director for AACCASA, Inc. “Response to the tournament was overwhelmingly positive this year – so much so that we had to turn some golfers away!”Tee Up for a Child was a fun-filled day inclusive of 18 holes of golf on Eisenhower’s more than 220 acres of splendidly wooded landscape. Participants enjoyed lunch provided by Sardi’s Catering, a silent auction & raffle, on-course contests, and a million-dollar hole-in-one shoot out. Planned and implemented by the organization’s board of directors and community leaders, the golf tournament was part of the organization’s annual campaign to raise funds to ensure that every child in foster care has a dedicated CASA volunteer by their side one child at a time, one life at a time, one future at a time. Top sponsors for the event included First National Bank, American Bus, Bob & Carol Kendrick, & The Greene Turtle.
