Deborah Blair Joins Maryland CASA Board!
TOWSON, Md. (April 2, 2015) – Maryland CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) Association has appointed Deborah Blair to a two-year term on its board of directors.“As a mother of a terrific daughter and grandmother of two adopted girls, the work that Maryland CASA does in supporting organizations working on behalf of the welfare of children is very personal to me,” Blair said.She added, “I'm excited to be able to work with this organization so that the hope and dream that every child will have the best permanent home possible becomes a reality.”With 10 years of experience in the accounting and finance industry, Blair is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) as well as a member of the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA).Blair has received the Chartered Global Management Accountant designation from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.A University of Maryland University College graduate, Blair received her Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. She resides in Ellicott City, Md. with her husband, William, and daughter, Jackie.Maryland CASA Association is a private, non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to ensuring the rights of all victims of child abuse and neglect to grow up in safe, permanent homes. This mission is carried out in partnership with the state’s 15 Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) programs, which provide trained volunteer advocates to speak up for the best interests of children.
