Runner Profile: Miss Inner Harbor United States 2016, Tracey Hirsch
I'm very excited about joining the 2015 Team CASA runners this year! Before I moved to Baltimore two years ago, I had the opportunity to work at a non-profit agency called Worcester Youth & Family Counseling Services in Berlin, MD. The agency housed a local CASA program, and I had the privilege to work with the program to help raise funds. I felt very passionate about the purpose behind CASA and knew firsthand how much of an impact it and the CASA volunteers had on the community.Recently, I have been given the title of Miss Inner Harbor United States, and will be competing in the upcoming Ms. Maryland pageant in January. As my platform, I am dedicating my efforts to raise awareness of CASA and to help raise money for this amazing organization. I've always wanted to run a half marathon, but hurt my knee last year. I just started running again, and when I saw that CASA had a charity Team in the Baltimore Running Festival, I knew immediately that I wanted to join! I've pledged to raise $500, and I'm working diligently to get support to help me reach my goal.I couldn't be more excited about wearing my Team CASA shirt and running with other CASA supporters this October!Want to hear more from Tracey?
