Team CASA Runner Spotlight: Olivia Lewis

Meet Olivia Lewis, just one of our "Superheroes for Children" participating in the Baltimore Running Festival on Saturday, October 21st, 2017. As a school psychologist in Baltimore City Public Schools, Olivia works with many children who have experienced trauma; in her time there she has worked with phenomenal CASA volunteers that advocated for those children. She became familiar with Maryland CASA through her sorority Kappa Alpha Theta and has continued to run in the Baltimore Running Festival ever since.“My very first run, the other CASA supporters helped me immensely with motivation,” Olivia said. “Everyone is so friendly and are there for the right reasons - supporting these kiddos!”Participating in the race is not only something Olivia loves to do, but it is also a way for her to give back to the community and do something rewarding. Olivia has ran both the 5k and the half marathon at the Baltimore Running Festival and plans to do a training program to help her get prepared for this year’s race. This year, Olivia's on a mission to raise $500 in support of Maryland's abused and neglected children and she's already 1/5th of the way there!
