Team CASA Runner Spotlight: Farin Doran

Any great race starts off with a few feelings of anxiety, nervousness, and self-doubt, says Farin Doran, this week’s Team CASA Runner Spotlight. Even for an avid runner like Farin, a fitness coach and CT technician from Towson, MD, participating in an event like the Baltimore Running Festival can be a little daunting at first, but once her feet hit the pavement all of those feelings seem to fizzle away. Now in her second year running for CASA, Farin is most excited to tackle her leg of the Team Relay, run for a purpose, and also to be surrounded by like-minded individuals. “Everyone on the WHOLE team was SO sweet, kind and welcoming at last year’s race. I loved that! Especially when everyone cheered each other on and congratulated one another – it felt like I was running with my Family!”Speaking of family… Farin’s husband, Jeffrey, will also be returning to the team this year and will be running the Balti-MORON-a-thon on race day (October 21st), which is a combination of the 5K and the ½ marathon. T-minus 42 days until the big event – we hope to see you there! To join Team CASA, visit www.goteamcasa.org for rates and additional information. Have questions?
